Materials Analysis Services
New advanced materials and
products are under development. The knowledge of
their material properties is important for their
success. SURFACE offers in it‘s nanoLab
dedicated metrology for such developments.
The nanoLab offers quantitative surface analytics by
Scanning Probe Microscopy and nanoIndentation and
thermo mechanical analysis to assist with
quantitative experimental data.
Those are:
Scanning Probe Microscopy:
- Surface morphology - Analysis of image for:
Length, Heigth, Width, Area, Volume, Roughness
- Stiffness Contrast – imaging local
mechanical properties
- Local Electrical Potential Contrast Magnetic
Domains Contrast
- Nano Thermo mechanical analysis
- Nano thermal calometry
nanoIndentation:
- Hardness and Reduced Modulus at nm-penetration
depth
- E’,E”, tan δ determined by
Dynamic tests in the range of 1 to 200Hz
- Combination of in-situ imaging and
nanoindentation for high precision positioning
(<30nm)

Consulting Services
Those of our customers who do not
own a nanoIndenter or SPM will be introduced in the
technique.
SURFACE lab scientists discuss
with you your current metrology problems and design
for you the best test procedure that matches all your
needs.
We will work with you on your current project or on
your on future plans for purchasing an own
instrument.
Contracting
In order to contract us for a service measurement
you have to fill the Request
Form and send it to us by fax. We will then
discuss the details of your samples in our lab or via
telephone and agree on a measurement procedure. You
will receive a specified offer for the measurements
we agreed upon. The typical turn around time for
sample testing is 3-4 weeks after receiving the
samples. If your needs are more urgent we can
accommodate
