Liquid Cell Puck

Liquid Cell Puck

Features

  • Nanoindentation measurement of liquid-covered samples
  • Special coating for increased liquid level above the sample
  • Level/height adjustment
  • Compatible to Agilent G200/XP

Nanoindentation in Liquids

Depending on the application, it is necessary to perform nanoindentation tests on samples covered with a liquid. With standard equipment like the Agilent G200/XP nanoindenters, this is often difficult:

  • No z-drive (height adjustment), so the liquid level above the substrate is limited
  • The G200/XP sample tray only offeres limited sample space

The SURFACE Liquid Cell Puck

To solve these issues, SURFACE has developed a special sample holder/puck. The design allows for a higher liquid level above the substrate while maintaining compatibility with the G200/XP:

  • Variable bottom for level/height adjustment
  • Teflon coating to change the wetting angle, which increases the liquid level above the sample
